Higher Radway Farm
Planning Permission Granted for a Replacement Dwelling in an isolated site overlooking the Teign Estuary in South Devon.
The design was strongly informed by the topography and natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. The house has been designed to appear as a series of low-lying stepped forms responding to the sloping site and extensive landscape. Natural materials have been selected that will allow the building to weather and fully harmonise with its landscape setting. The solidity of the stone plinth lower form will appear rooted in the ground and contrast with the light-weight timber clad floating forms above.
