Old North Chew Farm: Somerset

The 2 acre site is in an area of Green Belt adjacent to the Chew Magna Conservation Area.

The brief was to convert 6 derelict agricultural outbuildings into holiday-lets and business units.

The development has been designed so as not to have a materially greater impact on the openness of the Green Belt nor to detract from the sites rural character. Furthermore it respects the local vernacular and enhances the adjoining Conservation Area.

Various bat mitigation measures were incorporated into the design including the design of a separate bat house.
